Jane Ryland is a construction lawyer with over 30 years experience in contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
Jane is also available for appointment as a construction adjudicator. She is a member of the TeCSA, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and UK Adjudicators panels and has decided disputes arising from a broad range of contracts including small building subcontracts, large telecoms and utilities contracts.

Jane qualified as a solicitor in 1991. She was a partner at Laytons, Bristol then from 2001 to 2012 a partner and head of construction at Cripps in Tunbridge Wells. She opened Ryland CLS in 2012 providing construction law consultancy services to law firms and appointments to act as adjudicator. Her expertise includes the commercial property, retail and higher education sectors and she has worked for government departments.
She has written for Building magazine, Architects Journal, New Law Journal, Construction Law Journal and the Estates Gazette. She is a regular speaker on construction law topics. She is a member of TeCSA, The Adjudication Society, the Society of Construction Law (where she is also a Regional Co-ordinator for the Kent branch), and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Since 2022 Jane has been on the working group for the Law Council of Wales, setting up the Dispute Resolution Centre for Wales/Canolfan Datrys Anghydfodau Cymru.
